Through the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship Program, the University of Toronto provides scholarships to foreign students who require financial assistance to continue their education in Canada. Eligibility for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships

Value of Lester B. Pearson Scholarship Program for International Students

This yearly scholarship program provides full housing support for four years as well as books, tuition, and incidentals to about 37 students designated Lester B. Pearson Scholars.

University of British Columbia International Scholars Program

More than 40 scholarships are given out yearly to deserving international students through the University of British Columbia International Scholars Program.  The International Impact Award, the Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award, the Vantage One Excellence Award, and the McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award are the four categories under which these scholarships fall.

Eligibility for the University of British Columbia International Scholars Program

To be eligible for the University of British Columbia International Scholars Program;

  • Candidates must be international students.
  • They must be transferring from another university or college as a first-year student, or they must be enrolled in their first year at the University of British Columbia after graduating from an accredited high school.
  • Candidates must be pursuing their first undergraduate degree when they apply.
  • They must prove that they need financial help to help them pursue a degree at the University of British Columbia.
  • Candidates must present evidence of outstanding academic success.
  • They must fulfil all entry requirements set forth by the University of British Columbia, including the English Language Admission Standard as well as general and degree-specific requirements.

Value

The scholarship is worth $25,000 yearly. It covers tuition and basic living expenses.
