The Christian faith
What is faith
Faith is the trust in God in all circumstances, which enables the believer to persevere and remain steadfastly loyal to God and His word at all times.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For a Christian, our journey starts by faith. We believe in the “faith of Jesus Christ” which is his death, resurrection, ascension and His finished work on the cross. This by many is believed to be the greatest miracle, that a sinner upon confessing Christ as his lord and saviour automatically becomes a saint that is capable of the perfect will of God.
We believe spiritual realities
We are brought to righteousness..
1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Believes in his goodness
Gives us confidence in the Word
Obeys His commandments
Regulates life on His promises
Rejects the spirit or influence of this present evil word age…
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and “pilgrims on the earth”.
Seeks a heavenly home…
Persevere in testing
Blesses the coming generation
Refuses the pleasure of sin…
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin.
Faith helps us to see beyond the natural..
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Through faith we understand the things of God
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
How to grow your faith.
As well known, a personal hunger is the beginning of every exploit in God.
“Hunger is an escort to deeper things”
So you must really want it and be ready to pay the price for getting it.
Gaining ascendancy in spiritual things, although may be ours but walking in the reality of it take a whole lot of commitment. A heart that perseveres and is ready to keep going (not getting weary) no matter how long it takes to see results. We must learn to never take No for an answer.
Not just faith but to whatever one wants to grow in, it is necessary to learn the right way to go about it. Learn the right principles of there is one, it gives head start in getting to where you’re going.
Don’t just gather head knowledge, relate with them, if the Bible says, whatever you ask in my name you’ll receive. Try it, ask for a particular thing during your morning devotion expecting it before the end of the day. If it didn’t come, go back to the place of prayer and do the same thing the next day. Trust God for healing on your self, when you’ve mastered that, start praying for sick family members, after that go out there, lay hands, cast out devils, do the work of your Father, preach the gospel, forgive people there sins, show Christ to them, give others faith with you own faith..haaayaa!!! Doing this you build your faith, and you’ll be amazed you’re moving towards been a perfect man.
And do not forget to surround yourself with like minded people.
Build a faith that is able to surrender God’s promises back to Him for the fulfillment according to His will.
