SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Growth itself is known to be a process of continuous and permanent increase in size and complexity, and spirituality in this sense speaks of Godly increase in man’s journey of being what God saw when he called him man.
In
“Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea… “
, here God is saying let the things that made me God make man a man. Our growth process as Christians is only a journey of becoming who we were created to be or who we already are.
Now considering a new born child, his mother is never bothered if he doesn’t start to walk after two weeks but certainly will be after two years. Every child is born with the same set of things that made an adult who he is, the only difference is time and growth. So as well for every person that responds to God’s call, immediately there already has everything that is needed to be a perfect man, but certainly cannot start living it out. But eventually with growth will.
Just as a child needs milk to grow, a new born believer also needs somethings to effectually grow.
“Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
and
Hebrews 5:14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Some of these spiritual exercise are;
1. Prayer.
A saying goes like”you learn to pray by praying, if you ever feel like you don’t know how to pray the only cure is praying  because you have the Holy Spirit and He always wants to pray. All you have to do is pray to be aligned.
Joshua 1:8 Â This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Just as the verse  has stated, it takes studying the word to have the word flourishing within you, and in this kingdom we consciously decide to grow.
3. Fasting
4. Fellowshipping with other brethren
And many other things that would only be understood by studying the Word.
GROWTH REQUIRES A CONCIOUS AND CONSTANT ACTION. YOU DECIDE HOW FAST AND HOW DEEP YOU GROW, Â GOD IS ALWAYS CALLING, ALWAYS TALKING, OUR NOT HEARING IS BECAUSE WE AREN’T LISTENING.
