Fruits of the Spirit
The fruits of the Spirit.
They are the lifestyle of a believer that are inspired by the Holy Ghost, most times they counter the deeds of the flesh.
Gal 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
1. Love:
(agape) The art or heart of seeking the best interest of other people without any motive of personal gain.
2. Joy:
A constant feeling of gladness based on your realities in God or of the knowledge of God’s love and promises to every believer.
3. Peace:
The rest of heart based on absolute trust on what Christ has done, our victory in Christ which results in freedom from any anxiety from this world system.
4. Long-suffering:
High tolerance, being slow to anger.
5. Goodness:
Zeal for the truth and righteousness and hatred for evil deeds expressed in kindness. An art exhibited by Jesus in Matt 21:12-13.
6. Gentleness:
Kindness, wanting the good of others, not wanting to hurt others.
7. Faith:
Firm and unswaying trust in the words and promises of a person that one is bind to by commitment and promises.
8. Meekness:
It defines a person that is flexible enough to the spirit, to the stage that he is angry when he should be and submissive when submission is needed. Could also be called gentleness.
9. Temperance:
Self control, knowing your self, mastering and controlling one’s desires. Firmness in Christ. Ability to say “No” when God is saying No.
